Mattie Lucas is a freelance film critic who has been writing film reviews professionally since she was a senior in high school. Her work has been published in print weekly in the Lexington Dispatch since 2004. She founded her own website, From the Front Row, in 2006 where she has been steadily writing reviews ever since. She has also been a staff critic at In Review Online since 2009 and continues to contribute regularly. Mattie attended Appalachian State University where she studied Theatre and Film Studies and resides in Boone, North Carolina with her wife, Anna.
