Matt Brunson is the film critic for Creative Loafing in Charlotte, NC. He’s been with the alternative newsweekly since 1988, and in addition to serving all this time as the publication's sole film reviewer, he has in past years also toiled as Senior Editor, Arts & Entertainment Editor, and Interim Editor-in-Chief. He's the recipient of approximately a dozen awards from both the North Carolina Press Association and the North Carolina Working Press, as well as a lifetime achievement award from the 15 Short Film Festival. Matt is a longtime SEFCA member and previously served as the organization's President (2008-2010) and Vice President (2004-2008).
