Lois Cahall is the former Vice President of the Southeastern Film Critics Association. Under her pseudonym ‘The Screen Queen’ Cahall’s column began 24 years ago, where her critiques ran from Maine to Miami in newspaper syndication. Screen Queen’s written reviews are syndicated worldwide on MRQE. She can be heard on the Saga Communications Group, with Elmira as her flagship station.
Cahall has written articles for magazines (Seventeen, Cosmo Girl, Marie Claire, Redbook) and Conde Nast magazines (SELF, Bon Appetit) as well as Ladies Home Journal, Men’s Journal, and Readers Digest. In the UK, Cahall writes for Psychologies, RED and The London Times.
In 2012, her first novel PLAN C JUST IN CASE (Bloomsbury) soared to #1 in the UK, before hitting #1 in America, July 2013, on the “Nook Daily Deal.” Cahall’s second book – a novella – COURT OF THE MYRTLES also from Bloomsbury Reader, has been called “A Tuesday’s with Morrie on estrogen” by Ladies Home Journal.
In 2015 Cahall Founded and remains the Creative Director of the Palm Beach Book Festival bringing in NY Times best-selling authors to discuss their novels, memoirs, and books-to-film. James Patterson is the Festival’s Honorary Chairman.
Cahall resides in Palm Beach, Florida, but her heart is in New York, and her soul is in London.
